When Alison and Edward said they wanted to take their engagement images during fall I got very excited because fall is my favorite season. I watched the leaf colors change very closely and once Richmond, VA was peaking we headed down to the Carillon and Byrd Park. We could not have asked for a better fall afternoon.

Michael and Liz really wanted to take their engagement pictures in the Blue Ridge Mountains with fall colors. So I kept a very close eye on the colors, and once they were peaking, we set a date to take a trip up to the mountains. Michael and Liz could not have asked for better weather for their fall engagement pictures to be taken.

I cannot think of a better place for Rob and Taylor's engagement pictures to be taken than in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains. Virginia has had a very rainy spring this year, but Rob and Taylor willingly embraced the rainy weather but hoped for a break in the storm. Luckily, most of the heavy rain hit just before we got to the mountains. We got some light rain at the beginning but then got a nice break in the weather. I was really excited when Rob and Taylor told me they wanted to take their engagement pictures in the mountains. Rain or shine, the mountains are always gorgeous, and on this rainy day, they made the perfect background for Rob and Taylor's pictures.

Colonial Williamsburg is beautiful year around, but there is something special about being in this historic town around Christmas.  For Christmas, Colonial Williamsburg decorates the entire town with authentic Christmas decorations. With unique and beautiful Christmas wreaths on every door, Rodger and Sarah wanted to have their engagement pictures taken in Colonial Williamsburg.

What a great evening for an engagement session.  The light was perfect and Chase and Sarah looked beautiful.  I could see how deeply they are in love and I can wait to shoot their weeding next summer.

The rain stopped just in time to capture this wonderful couple.  Mike and Melissa wanted the Richmond skyline in some of their images, so we went down town.

It was a beautiful spring day at Maymont Park and Rocketts Landing for Ben And Jessica's Engagement pictures.

February 16, 2014 was a very warm day for February, so Sven and Kat decided to go for a hike at Chautauqua Park in Boulder, Colorado.  As they started up the hike on a less popular trail, Sven thought back about the odds of crossing paths with Kat.  Both were foreign exchange students from different countries (Sven from Germany and Kat from America) who were studying abroad at the University of Canterbury in New Zealand at the same point in time.
