“In sickness and in health” took on extra meaning at Cody and Alexa’s wedding when just a few days before the big day, Cody took a tumble that led to multiple breaks in his ankle. Despite the setback, the couple persevered and refused to let this unfortunate circumstance mar their happy day. It was such a pleasure to get the chance to capture the love and affection that these two share as they join their lives together. And it was really amazing to get the chance to photograph Alexa’s wedding after having the opportunity to take her senior pictures just eight short years ago. I wish Cody and Alexa the very best and hope that Cody continues to have a speedy recovery so that the couple can experience a joyous and healthy belated honeymoon in the near future.

After a year delay do to COVID Michale and Liz’s wedding day finally arrived and what a beautiful spring day it turned out to be.

Edward and Alison could not have asked for a better spring day to get married at Maymont Park in Richmond, VA.

I was really excited when Dusty and Allie told me they were going to have their wedding at one of my favorite wedding venues, the Irvine Estate. Located near Lexington, VA, with some of the best views of the surrounding Blue Ridge Mountains, I knew their wedding day was going to be beautiful. Even though we got a brief rain shower in the early afternoon, it quickly passed and turned into a beautiful fall day. I had a wonderful time getting to know Dusty and Allie this year, and I had such an amazing time at their wedding. I want to thank them for letting me be a part of their special day, and I wish them the very best.

For the entire week leading up to Rob and Taylor’s wedding, the forecasts were calling for torrential rain that were set to start in the early afternoon on the day of their wedding. Luckily, the rain came a day early, and October 27 turned into a beautiful fall day. Rob and Taylor had a gorgeous wedding full of amazing details that transformed the Camp T. Brady Saunders venue in Goochland, VA. They could not have asked for better weather for their outdoor ceremony. The reception moved indoors, but they also had games and a fire set up for their friends and family to enjoy while they celebrated with them on their special day. One of my favorite things about the reception was the campfire, so guests could make s’mores. I had a great time getting to know Rob and Taylor, and I wish them the best as they start their lives together.

Williamsburg is a beautiful location for a spring wedding, and Roger and Sarah's day was no different.  While the weather did throw a slight kink in their plans due to gale-force winds (and a brief snow shower - in April!), it did not stop this couple or their guests from having a lovely time.

I had the pleasure of capturing John and Christiana's wedding day in the beautiful mountains near Lexington at House Mountain Inn/Irvine Estate.  I had a great time getting to know this wonderful couple and consider myself blessed to have been able to participate in their special day.  From the first detail shots to the sparkler exit, I enjoyed every moment.

A few months ago, friends of ours from Virginia Beach contacted us about photographing the wedding of their daughter, Heather.  The catch? It would be a destination wedding at Dreams Palm Beach, Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.

Five and a half years ago, when Mike met Erin on a blind date, he knew there was something different about her.  Today, on their wedding day, they both knew there was something special about each other.  Even with all of the rain, everything at the Collingwood Library was wonderful.   All of Mike and Erin’s closest friends and family came to share this special day with them.
