Two thousand fifteen was a great year.  I got to be a part of many couples’ special days, met friends and family members of the bride and groom, and made some new friends along the way.  I also got to visit some new places that I have not been before and returned to some of my favorite places.

This year Richmond, Virginia, hosted the UCI Road World Championships.  On Sunday, September 27, the elite men took the course for a great day of racing.  Congratulations to the new World Champion, Peter Sagan.

With three teams tied for first in the Northern Division and a lot of very close games in the Southern division this year, the SACWPL Championship Tournament was shaping up to be a very competitive tournament.

Last Saturday, Richmond Water Polo Club hosted the second Northern Tournament for the South Atlantic Coast Water Polo League.  All of the games were close, but Richmond took the day winning all three of their games.

This past weekend, February 28th and March 1st, the capital city of Richmond hosted the annual Virginia Water Polo State Championship. The State Tournament was a two-day event that consisted of the prelims on Saturday and the semi-finals and finals on Sunday.   The eight teams were a mix of college and master teams from all over the state.  After four rounds of great games, NOVA, the defending champions, and Arlington, the challenger, set the stage for an outstanding championship game.

esterday, central Virginia got about seven inches of snow, so I grabbed my camera and set out to try to get pictures of some birds in the snow.  My main goal was to capture an image of a male Northern Cardinal, and after about one and a half hours of capturing other types of song birds, a male Northern Cardinal FINALLY landed on the branch that I had my camera focused on.  

Last weekend was one of the nicest weekends we have had all winter.  It was a great day to get some beautiful images of Trisha, Brandon, Savannah, and Hayleigh (who will be with us very soon).  

Two thousand fourteen was another great year.  I got to be a part of many couples’ special days and made some new friends along the way.  I also got to visit some new places that I have not been before and returned to some of my favorite places.

A few weeks ago I had the privilege of shooting a very talented young lady during her gymnastics practice.  Here are a few of Anna Kate's gymnastics images.  

After such a great night where both Mike and I were able to get some great images of the Milky Way at Spruce Knob in West Virginia, we woke up the next morning and went down to the lake.  We hiked around the lake looking for other places to set up for that evening.

After a disappointing night at Dolly Sods trying to capture the Milky Way, Bodie, Mike and I woke up early to attempt to capture a beautiful sunrise.  The three of us hiked and boulder-hopped to the top of the mountain where we waited for the sun to join us.

Last week, Bodie and I went on a three day camping adventure in West Virginia.  We met up with my buddy Mike at Dolly Sods to try and capture some images and time laps video of the Milky Way.  After a long drive, Bodie was ready to get out of the car and go exploring.

Savannah is one!  Last weekend, I had the privilege of photographing my niece to commemorate her first birthday at the home of Savannah's great aunt in Goochland County.  We could not have asked for a better evening, and Savannah enjoyed being outside and playing in the grass while I snapped a few pictures.

This past weekend in Richmond, Virginia, was the second northern divisional tournament in the South Atlantic Coast Water Polo Conference. The five teams that competed were Richmond, Hampton Roads, Baltimore, Arlington and the Wetskins. After a full day of great games, the Wetskins combined with the first tournament went 8-0 and will go to the championship match as first seat team.  The Richmond team ended up 5-3 will go as the second seat, Arlington ended up...

Eight teams enter the pool but only one would crowned state champion.   This past weekend, March 1st and 2nd, the capital city of Richmond hosted the annual Virginia Water Polo State Championship.  The State Tournament was a two-day event that consisted of the prelims on Saturday and the semi-finals and finals on Sunday.  Eight teams from all over the state came and played to earn the titled of State Champions. 

This passed Saturday February 8, 2014 Richmond hosted the first divisional tournament in South Atlantic Coast Water Polo League.  The northern division is made up of five teams, Richmond, Hampton Roads, the Wet Skins, Arlington and Baltimore.  After every team played each other one the Wet Skins are currently leading the northern division with 4 win and 0 loses.

Two thousand thirteen was a great year.  I got to be a part of many couples’ special days, met friends and family members of the bride and groom, and made some new friends along the way.  I also got to visit some new places that I have not been before and returned to some of my favorite places.  Looking back though a year’s worth of pictures, it was very hard to narrow down thousands of pictures just to my favorite top 25.  Let me know which one is you`re favorite image.
